Finite Control Set Model Predictive Current Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Normalized Current Tracking Error Band

Finite control set model predictive current control (FCS-MPCC) has been widely used in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control systems because it can quickly respond to system changes and requirements and has multi-objective control capabilities. After the traditional FCSMPCC introduced the switching frequency control target, the switching frequency was too high, and the difficulty of weight factor optimization increased. By utilizing the normalized current tracking error band, this paper proposes an FCSMPCC method for PMSMs. To avoid the cumbersome process of allocating weight factors and make it easier to achieve the control objective, this method uses the normalized current tracking error band as an additional constraint condition to eliminate the weight factor of the switching frequency control target, and the redefined cost function is the linearly superimposing of the constraint condition, the number of switching times, and the normalized current tracking error. The proposed method can effectively suppress the switching frequency, and when the bandwidth is set reasonably, the system can exhibit excellent dynamic and steady-state performance, which is of practical significance for improving the comprehensive control performance of PMSMs.
