Research Review on Magnetic Coupling Resonant Wireless Charging Technology of UAV

Small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are aircraft that perform various tasks through radio remote control or pre-programmed instructions. Due to their low cost and ease of operation, they have garnered significant attention in numerous fields such as agriculture, military, and disaster relief. However, constrained by current wired charging technologies and battery limitations, the endurance of UAVs has not seen substantial breakthroughs, greatly restricting their widespread application in specific working conditions and fields. Consequently, the integration of wireless power transmission technology with UAVs has become a focal point of current research. At present, wireless power transmission technology has already gained widespread popularity in the field of mobile phone charging and is rapidly developing in the electric vehicle sector. This paper summarizes the experimental results from multiple expert teams, elaborates on the development history of various wireless power transmission methods, objectively analyzes their advantages and disadvantages, and focuses on the challenges of anti-coil misalignment and efficient electromagnetic shielding in UAV magnetic coupling resonant wireless charging technology. Additionally, it provides a systematic review of existing solutions to these issues.
