Application of Fourth-Order Runge Kutta Method in Strapdown Inertial Navigation System

In response to the increasing errors in attitude, velocity, and position of the carrier in the strapdown inertial navigation system over time, which affect the stability and real-time performance of the system navigation, the carrier cannot truly and effectively reflect its heading, roll, and pitch states, and the positioning error cannot accurately determine the carrier’s position information. This article proposes a method for quickly solving the carrier velocity of a strapdown inertial navigation system using the fourth-order Runge Kutta method, which effectively reduces the angular velocity of the gyroscope and the cumulative error of the accelerometer during rotation, improves the attitude accuracy and positioning accuracy of the system in complex movements, frequent turns, and other situations, thereby ensuring the stability of long-term operation. The experimental results show that this method can improve the accuracy of system navigation in complex environments.
