Wind Tunnel Test Analysis of Wind Environment of a Large-Span Special-Shaped Roof Structure

The large-span roof structure has a unique shape, and the roof itself is a light structure, which is a wind load sensitive building. At the same time, due to the mutual interference of vortex air flow, the wind field in some parts of the building will change abruptly, and the wind environment is also more sensitive, so the design requirements of this kind of structure can not be met. The wind velocity ratio of a large span cantilevered curved roof structure at different angles of wind attack is analyzed systematically through the scale rigid model velocity measurement test of a large span roof structure in Xi’an. The results show that the change of air velocity ratio under most working conditions is stable, which meets the requirements of the specification, and provides a safe, comfortable and energy-saving environment for occupants and users. The wind speed ratio of some entrances and exits is too large, which may be adversely affected by strong winds, and appropriate windproof measures should be taken, such as setting wind barriers, adjusting entrance design or adding shelters, to protect pedestrians and facilities. The wind speed ratio of some entrances and exits is small, which may lead to insufficient natural ventilation in some entrances and exits. To improve the comfort of the wind environment in these areas, artificial ventilation measures should be added, such as installing ventilation equipment or optimizing existing ventilation systems to ensure air quality and thermal comfort.
