Research and Implementation of DC Hybrid Simulation Based on Planning Simulation Platform

With the increasing scale of direct current (DC) and new energy, it is no longer sufficient to accurately study system characteristics solely through electromechanical transient calculations, and cannot meet the needs of high proportion power electronic system stability analysis in power grid planning business. Firstly, this article designs the simulation calculation function module of the planning simulation platform, which can automatically generate electromechanical and electromagnetic transient simulation data based on information such as planning schemes, planning modes, and equipment model parameters. It also realizes the automatic generation of fault cards and output cards required by the simulation program. Secondly, the management form of the electromagnetic model is designed. The equipment and mode modules can reference the direct current electromagnetic transient model. The organization and management form of data files in the hybrid simulation calculation process, as well as the initialization iterative calculation process and rules, are also designed. Finally, taking the regional power grid S as an example, the initialization calculation for 13 high-voltage direct current (HVDC) is completed. A three-phase permanent N-1 fault is set to occur at the 0.1s moment on the alternating current (AC) outgoing line of the converter station at the receiving end of conventional HVDC A, which facilitates the grouped viewing of the hybrid simulation calculation results of the AC and DC grids. The DC hybrid simulation calculation of the planning simulation platform can significantly reduce the technical threshold for the promotion and application of electromagnetic transient simulation in power grid planning business, and comprehensively improve the level of power system planning and analysis during the transition period.
