Harmonic resonance suppression strategy based on adaptive active damping

The virtual resistance parameters in active damping control directly affect the harmonic resonance suppression effect. The existing virtual resistance parameter tuning method is difficult to realize the multi-objective co-optimization of harmonic resonance suppression and steady state accuracy under the dynamic change of power grid. To address this, a harmonic resonance suppression strategy based on adaptive active damping is proposed. The method utilizes linear approximation to simplify the nonlinear relationship between harmonic voltage amplitude and virtual resistance. A dynamic iterative mechanism with variable cloth length is also used. The method enables a fast adaptive adjustment of the virtual resistance values to optimize the damping characteristics of the system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation. The results show that the proposed method is able to adaptively and accurately and quickly rectify the virtual resistance parameters. It has better harmonic resonance suppression effect and improves the ability of active damping device to solve the harmonic resonance problem.
