Analysis of Current Unbalance of 500kV Parallel Cables

In recent years, in order to reduce the cost of equipment and technical constraints, the use of same-phase parallel cable power supply is also increasing, not only to save land, but also to increase the transmission capacity. Due to the parallel operation of multiple cables, the problem of unbalance between cables gradually appears, affecting the stability and security of the system. This paper analyzes the unbalanced degree of 500kV shunt cable, finds out the general law of the change of unbalanced degree, and calculates the specific influence that the change of typical factors will have on the unbalanced degree. This article simulates the unbalance of 500kV parallel cables, analyzes various factors that affect their unbalance, and proposes arrangement suggestions and measures to reduce unbalance.
