Research on the optimization strategy of battery capacity in an islanded microgrid

It is essential to recognize the importance of islanded microgrids as a self-sufficient power supply system in maintaining the continuity and stability of power. Selecting the capacity for the core energy storage equipment in an islanded microgrid is crucial for its stable operation and economic efficiency. This paper proposes a method for optimizing battery capacity based on a genetic algorithm aimed at minimizing the operating costs of an islanded microgrid. Experimental verification shows that the proposed method can significantly enhance the economic viability of islanded microgrids.
