Design of a Light-weight Compact Electro-Optical Servo Turntable System

In order to improve multi-mode combined reconnaissance performance of air defense system, an integrated EOS turntable servo system is designed based on concept of small-size and light-weight. Hardware design of a drive controller, angular position and angular speed measurement circuit and locking module for the servo system is presented. Control algorithm and software of the servo system are introduced and discussed. Finally, monitoring software of upper computer is developed by using the graphical programming software Lab VIEW. Test results show that performance of the servo system meets design requirements, and positioning accuracy of the servo system can be controlled within $\mathbf{0. 0 5}^{\boldsymbol{\circ}}$.
