Study on Numerical Simulation Continuous Microwave Drying of Zanthoxylum Bungeanum

Microwave drying as an emerging drying technology, has been widely applied in the drying of various agricultural products. Therefore, in order to understand the continuous microwave drying characteristics of Zanthoxylum bungeanum, this paper studies the temperature and mass transfer of Zanthoxylum bungeanum under continuous microwave drying through numerical simulation. This study established three-dimensional models related to multiple physical fields, including electromagnetism, heat and mass transfer. It examined the influence of the moving speed of the conveyor belt on the temperature and moisture of the Zanthoxylum bungeanum. The results show that increasing the moving speed can effectively improve the uniformity of microwave heating. When the moving speed is 0.003m/s, the drying degree of Sichuan pepper is the most uniform and the heating efficiency is the highest. The research results of this paper provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the optimization of microwave drying technology.
