Study on the Influence of Different Shapes on the Heating Uniformity of Phase-optimized

Inhomogeneous microwave heating can lead to localized overheating of heated food, which can reduce the quality of the microwave-heated product. Solid-state microwave systems have the potential to improve heating performance because they can flexibly control microwave parameters such as power, phase, and frequency. The relative phase difference of the two ports collected in real time enables dynamic parameter control. In this paper, the heating performance of a dual-source microwave system using the phase-optimized method in three different shapes: cuboidal, cylindrical and spherical, is studied. The results show that the phase-optimized method can improve the heating uniformity under different shapes of heated objects. This phaseoptimized method improved heating performance by nearly 0.4 compared to fixed phase heating. This research effectively verifies the applicability of the phase-optimized method for different heated object shapes.
