Revolutionizing Organ Allocation: A Blockchain Approach to Transparency and Security

Organ transplants are somewhat risky and require some efforts such as data privacy, openness, and equitable distribution, etc. One central authority and hands-on activities that are somewhat inefficient and risky when it comes to privacy in most of the systems for now are the principal underlying ideas. We outline a blockchain-based process along these lines to secure shared donor and recipient data in a permissioned blockchain network. Smart contracts allow for the distribution of organs based on a defined criterion, which enhances transparency and, remains fair. An encryption method ensures the secure storage and recovery of distributed organs through data storage and retrieval. The performance evaluation, simulation by synthetic data, reveals the required network-wide allocation of artificial organs to over 30% more patients with comparable CPU times as well as faster speed than existing emulation approaches, which proves highly effective as compared to any live scenario deployments.
