Smart Care: Iot-Based Health Monitoring System for Paralysis Patient Management

People who suffer from paralysis have unique challenges in health monitoring since the system is limited by the effective communication. To counter these problems, we propose an IoT-based health monitoring system using ESP WROOM 32. We have proposed a system in which MAX30100 will be used to measure the heart rate and SPO2, an ADXL335 accelerometer that can detect falls immediately, and LM35 sensor that will continuously monitor the body temperature. In addition, the system is enabled with gloves equipped with flex sensors. This enables patients to convey automatically requests for assistance, such as food, water, or ventilation, via their basic finger movement detection. This new approach reduces the stay in the hospital by giving rise to continued aftercare surveillance and timely medical interventions. The system improves the health outcomes and the quality of life for paralyzed patients through providing a comprehensive, responsive health monitoring solution tailored to a patient's specific needs, offering efficient and effective care management. The essence of this concept is that it represents a huge step toward more personalized healthcare, made possible by integrating IoT technology, which enables more independent living for paralyzed patients.
