Delving into IoT-Based Smart Meters for Industrial Energy Optimization

To improve industrial energy management, a unique Internet of Things (IoT) smart meter system is presented in the study. It addresses the limitations of antiquated energy management systems, which result in significant energy waste and high costs due to human monitoring, sluggish data collecting, and limited analytics. To identify anomalies, estimate energy demands, and automate control adjustments, the proposed system combines IoT technologies, real-time monitoring, cloud-based analytics, and predictive algorithms. The result in a significant reduction in energy consumption and running expenses. A 20 % decrease in average monthly energy consumption, a 58.3 % rise in anomaly detection accuracy, and a $\mathbf{2 8. 6 \%}$ increase in predictive accuracy are shown in the results, underscoring the system's efficacy in boosting energy efficiency and offering proactive energy management.
