Design of a Compact Filtenna for Sub 6 Ghz Application

This paper presents a novel filtenna design for 5 G sub-6 GHz wireless communication systems. The proposed structure consists of a monopole antenna with an innovative filtering resonator that enables improved impedance matching, minimized reflection losses, and enhanced gain performance. The study of simulation confirms both good resonant behavior, with good gain and efficiency in signal transmission as well as reception. The design exhibits stable radiation properties with energy focused along the preferred direction, rendering it highly useful for applications in which reliable performance is a major requirement. Therefore, the results achieved indicate good potential for the proposed filtenna configuration for modern wireless networks.
