The Reform and Practice of Blended Teaching in Emerging Engineering Courses Under the Background of Educational Digitalization

Educational digitalization has enhanced new power into the blended teaching of emerging engineering courses. This paper first discusses the historical development of blended teaching, and then analyzes the reform practices of the “Nautical Navigation” series of courses at Wuhan University of Technology from four aspects: course content, ideological elements, teaching organization, and assessment methods. Finally, the paper employs a combination of subjective and objective data-driven approaches along with surveys to analyze the effectiveness of the blended teaching reform in the “Nautical Navigation” course. The results show that blended teaching significantly enhances teaching quality, and the reform and practical experiences can provide a reference for similar courses in related institutions.
