A Proposed Single Input Multiple Output DC-DC Cuk Converter Using Machine Learning for Automotive Application

Effective power management is crucial for modern electric vehicles (EVs) and other automotive applications. These systems must efficiently regulate multiple voltage levels from a single power source. This study (ANN)-controlled (SIMO) battery-connected DCDC Cuk Converter for dynamic voltage regulation. The Cuk converter is chosen for its ability to perform both step-up and step-down conversions while maintaining continuous input and output currents, ensuring system stability and efficiency. The proposed converter supplies multiple voltage levels (26V, 48V, 12V, and 6V) from a single input source, making it ideal for EV subsystems with diverse power requirements. This improves voltage regulation, outperforming traditional PID controllers by offering faster response times and better handling. Simulation results from MATLAB demonstrate stable output voltages with minimal ripple (0.10V–0.18V) and high efficiency (85%–92%) across varying load conditions.
