Empowering Cost-Effective Gesture-Powered Wrist Wearable Devices for Enabling Contactless Humancomputer Interaction

Advanced remote and contactless humancomputer interaction is enabled by wearable technologies. This work investigates a gesture-driven, low-cost wrist wearable device for a contactless screen interface made using the Arduino Nano BLE Sense platform. The device uses gesture recognition technologies, a gyroscope, and an accelerometer to instantly identify human movements. Low-power, long-range connection between a wearable device and a laptop display is enabled via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Defined motions let users quickly choose, scroll, and flip programs. The small size and flawless integration of the device make it suitable for remote presentations, gaming, and mobility aids. The utilization of readily accessible hardware and open-source frameworks renders this endeavour both economical and straightforward for widespread acceptance. This work demonstrates the accuracy of gesture detection, the responsiveness of the screen interface, and the latency of BLE communication inside the system. The suggested method alters interaction patterns by providing a hands-free, efficient alternative to traditional input devices, hence promoting the advancement of wearable gesturebased technologies. The study suggests sophisticated gesture libraries and their connection with various IoT ecosystems to improve functionality.
