The Application of Dialect Voice in Game Character Design

In recent years, the global gaming industry has experienced rapid growth, and the use of dialects in game design has gradually garnered attention. Dialects infuse character design with unique cultural and regional characteristics, highlighting the character's background, addressing issues of character homogenization, and enhancing immersion. Simultaneously, dialects can create an authentic regional atmosphere, add cultural depth, stimulate players' desire for exploration, and evoke deep-seated cultural memories and emotional connections. This study focuses on the application of dialects in game character design, analyzing their impact on the gaming experience and exploring existing challenges. Through literature review and case studies, this research aims to provide theoretical and practical guidance for game designers while offering new perspectives on the preservation and transmission of dialect culture.
