Design and Research of Photovoltaic Ports in Multi-Port Energy Routers

With the acceleration of global energy transition, the intermittent and fluctuating nature of distributed new energy sources like photovoltaics and wind power poses challenges to traditional power systems. To address this issue, electric energy routers have emerged as critical nodes in smart grids, enabling dynamic scheduling of multi-energy integration. This paper focuses on the design of the photovoltaic port for an electric energy router, which requires simultaneous implementation of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and voltage stabilization. By integrating a Boost converter topology with advanced control strategies, the system achieves dual functions: real-time optimization of photovoltaic energy conversion efficiency through perturbation and observation (P&O) algorithm, and maintenance of stable DC bus voltage via closed-loop control mechanisms. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed design ensures stable output voltage under varying load conditions and solar irradiance levels, validating its effectiveness in enhancing grid resilience and energy utilization efficiency.
