Research on Weak Insulation Locations of Transformers based on Physics Field Coupling Simulation

When the insulation performance of the oil paper inside the inverted oil-immersed current transformer does not meet the requirements, accidents such as damage and explosion may occur. To calculate the insulation performance of the transformer, this paper proposes a multi-physics field coupling calculation method for the transformer. First, propose coupling methods between circuits, electromagnetic fields, temperature fields, and fluid fields; Second, obtain the required simulation parameters based on the coupling method. Finally, the accuracy is verified by comparing the simulation results with the experiments, and the simulation results are analyzed to confirm whether the insulation meets the requirements. The calculation results show that the simulation results are consistent with the experimental results, and the weak insulation positions of the transformer are concentrated at the neck of the upper oil storage tank, which meets the insulation requirements.
