Optimal Scheduling of Electric Power System in Expressway Service Area Considering Flexible Load Customer Satisfaction

This study addresses the challenge of optimizing the power system in highway service areas while balancing economic efficiency and customer satisfaction. We proposes a multi-objective optimization dispatching model that incorporates flexible load management. The goal of the proposed model is to enhance customer satisfaction while also improving the economic performance of the system. To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive satisfaction model that examine the characteristics of flexible loads within service areas, which integrates energy consumption patterns and costs to effectively quantify the relationship between customer satisfaction and load regulation. Additionally, to address the limitation of MOMVO, which is prone to getting stuck in local optima, we introduced an improved version called IMOMV. This enhancement involves incorporating Cubic mapping and refining the WEP and TDR to boost the algorithm’s global search capability. Simulation analysis conducted in the power system of a specific expressway service are shows that the proposed multi-objective optimization dispatching model significantly enhances customer satisfaction for flexible loads. By increasing the system’s operation by just 3.35%, user satisfaction improved markedly by 42.76%. The HV, GD, and IGD indicators obtained through IMOMVO demonstrated substantial enhancement compared to the original algorithm, confirming the superiority of the proposed method.
