Research on structure vibration control technology of vertical pump motor based on tuned mass damper

The vertical water pump group compared to the horizontal water pump group has a compact structure, occupies a small space, and other advantages, is widely used in energy, chemical, water conservancy, and other industries, but the motor position is higher, the support stiffness is weaker, especially after the motor has been transformed by frequency conversion, easy to structural vibration failure, a serious threat to the safe operation of the motor. This paper analyzes the working principle of the tuned mass damper and a vertical water pump motor as the object, the tuned mass damper retrofitted on the top of the motor, the practical application of the proof: retrofitted with tuned mass damper, the pump motor into the water, vertical water intake in two directions of vibration reduction of 70%, 65%, to ensure that the motor's safe and economic operation.
