A game training system for improving initial neurocognition degeneration

Some research reported that VR training applied to medical treatment has a good effect. The effect would be better if a game were integrated into virtual reality. Besides, the effectiveness of training is mainly tested by questionnaires. However, each questionnaire has a "reasonable doubt interval for neurocognition degeneration," affecting diagnostic accuracy. Therefore, this study aims to design a VR game training system based on the cognitive model to improve for people with initial neurocognition degeneration. The overall training effectiveness will be evaluated using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and AUC (area under the ROC curve). The results showed that there is a significant improvement in logical thinking and attention. Additionally, applying the AUC could effectively evaluate the performance of the VR game training system in initial neurocognition degeneration.
