A Deadbeat Predictive Current Control Harmonic Suppression Strategy with High Dynamic Response for OW-IPMSM

In order to mitigate the phase voltage distortion in dual inverter fed open winding interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (DIF-OW-IPMSM) and enhance the dynamic response speed, this paper proposes a novel harmonic suppression strategy. The main inverter operates at a low switching frequency, exploiting a selective harmonic elimination pulse width modulation (SHEPWM) technology, while the auxiliary inverter employs high-frequency space vector modulation (SVPWM) technology to suppress the residual voltage harmonics of the main inverter. However, the dynamic response speed of the synchronous modulation strategy is relatively slow. Therefore, a deadbeat predictive current control strategy is employed to generate harmonic compensation voltage. This method not only enhances the dynamic response speed of the control system but also demonstrates excellent harmonic suppression capability. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.
