Offline Parameter Identification of Induction Motor Considering Inverter Nonlinearity

Offline parameter identification is an important technology for induction motor(IM), which can be used for parameter self-tuning of observers and controllers in sensorless control systems. The algorithm proposed aims to provide an accurate motor models for high performance vector control. Firstly, the equivalent circuit model of the induction motor is analyzed to provide a basis for the design of the identification algorithm. Then, all the IM’s parameters are obtained by injecting DC and AC signals. In addition, the effects of inverter nonlinearity and compensation methods are investigated. The proposed method is validated on a 2.2kW IM drive.
