Parameter Estimation of a 5-Level Hybrid ANPC Using Ant Colony Algorithm

This paper proposes parameter estimation of the capacitor in a 5 -level ANPC inverter using the offline ant colony algorithm. This approach does not require any signal injection, additional sensors, or measurement equipment, providing a non-invasive method for the mathematical modeling and parameter estimation in 5-level ANPC inverters. First, a mathematical model is established. The key parameters of the inverter are then obtained using the ant colony optimization algorithm by comparing the mathematical model with the output data from the actual simulation circuit. To validate the accuracy of the proposed parameter estimation model, a series of simulation studies were conducted. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated with high accuracy of the estimated parameters.
