VQ-SDSC: Vector Quantized Satellite Digital Semantic Communication Framework

This poster proposes a vector quantized satellite digital semantic communication (VQ-SDSC) framework to mitigate the effects of cascading fading through semantic forwarding. It introduces a joint semantic coding and modulation method based on vector quantization, which uses vector quantization and neural network optimization to improve the constellation symbol distribution, thereby enhancing channel adaptability and reconstruction performance. Experimental results show that, compared to classical semantic communication schemes, the proposed VQ-SDSC significantly improves image reconstruction performance in satellite relay transmission scenarios and enhances robustness against complex channel conditions.
