This paper presents a nonlinear control approach, Synergetic Droop Control, for power sharing in parallelconnected DC/DC converters. Unlike traditional PI controllers, which depend on the operating point, Synergetic Droop Control provides fast and robust dynamic performance across a broad range of operating conditions without requiring re-tuning. By utilizing a Synergetic Control approach and enforcing an equivalent droop behavior on the manifold, Synergetic Droop Control ensures effective steady-state power sharing. Unlike previous Synergetic Control implementations for parallel DC/DC converters, this approach does not require inter-converter communication, making it decentralized and scalable. Experimental results for a system consisting of two parallel-connected boost converters validate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
