Methodology for Digraph Based Analysis of Shipboard Electrical Power Distribution

In order to modernize the existing fleet and develop new construction, the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense seek to leverage Digital Engineering advancements. This work presents a set of ways of analyzing the shipboard distribution system with the intent of forming the early stage of developing a methodology to explore early design space exploration. First, the concept of total system connectivity is introduced and shown to allow comparison between remaining redundancy, lost redundancies, and active edges within the distribution system. Secondly, we discuss iterative analysis of flow to provide further understanding of off nominal events.
