Power Carrier-Based Simultaneous Wireless Power and Data Transfer Module for Photovoltaic Systems

This paper presents a power carrier-based simultaneous wireless power and data transfer (PC-SWPDT) module for photovoltaic (PV) systems. The proposed system addresses the challenge of power intermittency in small-scale PV applications that lack energy storage. The proposed PC-SWPDT module enables efficient wireless power and data transmission over a single channel by employing a series-parallel (SP) compensation topology combined with amplitude-shift keying (ASK) modulation. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the system achieves stable energy transfer and reliable data communication under varying load conditions. The proposed PC-SWPDT module offers a practical solution for enhancing energy utilization and conversion efficiency in PV systems.
