A Visualization Method and Application of Composition Based on Dynamic Clock Spiral

This paper introduces a visualized method for composers, which integrates harmonic theory and is constructed on the basis of a dynamic clock spiral structure. Grounded in the acoustic-physical properties of chords, this method facilitates the construction of chord sequences and progressions characterized by their acoustic attributes. Following this principle, a single-spiral structure is developed based on the harmonic characteristics of the scale. Dynamic visualization of chord progressions is achieved through geometric topology theory and computer dynamic visualization techniques, enhancing clarity in the complex connections between chords across time, space, and frequency domains. This visualized composition model provides a new method for music education, addressing the limitations of traditional harmonic theory education that rely solely on verbal explanations. Furthermore, it holds potential for developing graphical generative models for artificial intelligence compositions, thus reducing sample size significantly.
