Analysis of two dimensional measurement-free surface code under idling patch

Quantum error correction codes typically rely on syndrome measurements to detect and correct errors. However, measurements require significantly longer time than quantum gate operations, posing a threat to coherence time and consequently leading to higher error rates. In this paper, we address this challenge by implementing and analyzing a measurement-free error correction scheme for the surface code, one of the leading quantum error correction codes.
