Optimal Configuration of Integrated PV Energy Storage System Considering Battery Degradation

With the advancement of the national dual-carbon strategy, the integrated PV energy storage system is becoming widely applied. These systems combine solar power generation with energy storage technologies, offering benefits such as load peak shaving, stabilizing renewable energy fluctuations, and expanding scalable capacity. This study addresses the challenge of optimizing the power ratio between PV generation and energy storage in distributed grid-connected systems while accounting for the degradation effects on battery capacity due to lifecycle losses. The analysis evaluates the influence of battery degradation on both the system's optimal power ratio and its operational costs. Finally, using the IEEE-33 node system as a benchmark, the optimal configuration scheme for the optimal power ratio of integrated PV energy storage system is demonstrated under different typical days and regional penetration rates, respectively.
