Modular Multi-port DC Interface Converter and Networking Solution for Offshore Wind Power DC Transmission

In order to realize the safe and stable balanced power transmission of series-type DC wind turbines, this paper proposes a series-type offshore wind power DC collection scheme for offshore wind energy t. DC wind turbine connected through multi-port converter realizes the energy collection and series voltage boosting, as well as reducing the power conversion links and offshores stations converters system. The sharing of power devices between converters submodules(SMs) and power balancing devices, reduces the hardware cost while eliminating the impact of wind turbine wind speed fluctuations on the output port voltage. This paper first analyzes the power transmission principles of DC interface converters. Subsequently, the control strategy for the proposed DC collection control scheme is designed. Finally, a simulation model of an offshore wind power DC transmission system based on modular multi-port DC interface converters is established to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed DC collection scheme.
