Mag-YOLO: Combining rotating magnetic field and improved YOLOv10 detecting for magnetic beads loading and monitoring

This work develops Mag-YOLO, a novel methodology combining rotating magnetic field and improved YOLOv10 detecting for magnetic beads loading and monitoring. By establishing a dynamic rotating magnetic field, we effectively disrupt the magnetic chains that formed by the interaction of magnetic force. The implementation of improved YOLOv10 enables real-time monitoring of magnetic magnetic beads with 98.7% detection accuracy in mAP@0.5, a 98.3% recall rate, and 104.5 frames per second (FPS), achieving an optimal balance between real-time performance and analytical precision. The system ultimately achieved 95% loading rate within an array of 17,600 micro-wells (50 μm diameter).
