The Integration of Image Recognition Technology and Augmented Reality in Tourism Picture Books

With the rapid development of the social economy and the significant improvement of people's quality of life, the tourism industry is undergoing unprecedented changes. In this context, augmented reality (AR) technology, with its unique charm, has become an important force in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry. AR technology seamlessly integrates computer-generated virtual information with real-world scenes, not only breaking the boundaries of traditional tourism, but also greatly enriching tourists' perception dimensions, making the travel process more vivid, interesting, and interactive. This article delves into the potential application of AR technology in the tourism field and proposes an innovative algorithm that combines image recognition technology with AR technology, focusing on intelligent recognition and interactive experience of tourism picture books. The experimental results show that the algorithm not only has high recognition accuracy, but also significantly improves tourists' participation and satisfaction, opening up new paths for tourism education, parent-child interaction, and personalized tourism experience.
