Design of a Model Predictive Controller for the Dual-Active Bridge Converter

This paper explores continuous control set model predictive control (CCS-MPC) for voltage control of the dualactive bridge (DAB), including constraints on the phase-shift and the transformer peak-to-peak current. We show a feasible realtime implementation of long-horizon CCS-MPC, leading to a dynamic voltage controller suited for grid-forming operation of the DAB converter.
