Application of 3DEC Simulation Software in the Recovery of Remnant Pillar Resources with Different Sizes

This article systematically explores the application of 3DEC numerical simulation software in the field of rock engineering, focusing on the theoretical basis and practical operation of core links such as material parameter setting, boundary condition application, and constitutive model selection. Firstly, a brief overview of the main functions and scope of application of 3DEC was provided to provide background support for subsequent content. Subsequently, an indepth analysis was conducted on the basic principles of assigning material properties and setting boundary conditions, and typical cases were used to illustrate their key role in rock mechanics simulation. Especially regarding the selection and implementation of constitutive models, the article points out that they have a significant impact on simulation accuracy and need to be carefully handled in conjunction with engineering practice. Finally, by the recovery of remnant pillar resources with different sizes study, the powerful ability of 3DEC in simulating rock structure response was demonstrated, and some techniques and suggestions for optimizing the simulation process were proposed. Overall, this article provides a relatively systematic reference and practical guidance for using 3DEC to conduct numerical simulations of rock engineering, aiming to enhance the scientific and efficient nature of simulation analysis.
