Research and modeling of electromagnetic characteristics of turn to turn short circuit in single-phase four winding transformer

This article constructs a finite element model and equivalent circuit model of a single-phase four winding transformer, accurately extracts transformer parameters, and analyzes the electromagnetic characteristics during turn to turn short circuits. The research results provide theoretical support for the analysis of transformer short-circuit faults. The research provides theoretical support and methodological guidance for analyzing and preventing inter turn short circuit faults in transformers, and has important practical application value; By constructing precise finite element models and equivalent circuit models, it is possible to more accurately simulate the electromagnetic characteristics of transformers, especially the complex electromagnetic phenomena under inter turn short-circuit conditions. This is of great significance for the design, optimization, and fault diagnosis of transformers. This article proposes a method for extracting transformer parameters through finite element modeling, which can more accurately obtain key parameters such as winding resistance, self inductance, excitation resistance, and excitation inductance. A detailed analysis of the electromagnetic characteristics during inter turn short circuits, including the changes in current and magnetic flux, is helpful for a deeper understanding of the mechanism of inter turn short circuit faults and provides a basis for fault diagnosis and protection strategy formulation of single-phase four winding transformers.
