Electromagnetic Compatibility Assessment Method for Intelligent Components Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution

The intelligent transformation of substations enhances grid reliability through real-time monitoring, but their complex electromagnetic environment challenges intelligent components’ compatibility. This paper proposes an Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) assessment method combining Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). First, a hierarchical EMC index system is established based on substation interference characteristics. AHP then classifies disturbance immunity indicators and determines their weights, while TOPSIS evaluates component performance. Results show this method provides a scientific basis for component selection and optimizes reliability analysis in electromagnetic environments. The integrated qualitative-quantitative approach offers a practical solution for smart substation deployment.
