Analysis of DCSK System Based on Code Indexing, Timeslot Indexing and Carrier Indexing

In this paper, we propose a high-performance differential chaotic shift system called the Joint Carrier-Time-Code Index Modulation Differential Chaos Shift Keying (CTCIMDCSK) system based on code indexing, time slot indexing and carrier indexing. This system extends the Walsh code set. Moreover, this system provides a more adequate selection space for time slots and carriers, and fully utilizes all the time slots to transmit the modulation bits, so the high BER performance is achieved and high data rates are obtained. So as to better realize the BER performance, this paper adopts a sliding average filtering method for noise reduction at the receiver. Noise is usually random, bursty, and it is highly variable. Sliding average filtering is able to smooth out these sudden noise values by averaging the data over a certain period of time of the signal. Furthermore, after conducting detailed analysis and calculations, theoretical expressions for the bit error rate (BER) of the system in both additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels and multipath Rayleigh fading channels are derived. The performance of the CTCIM-DCSK system is also evaluated in terms of data rate, system complexity, energy efficiency, and spectral efficiency. A comparison between the simulation results and theoretical predictions confirms the accuracy of the analysis and highlights the system's strong performance. When comparing this system with other existing solutions, it is concluded that the proposed CTCIM-DCSK scheme offers an optimal approach for achieving high data rates and reliable communication. The system can be used in mobile communication, wireless LAN, satellite communication, wireless sensor network and other scenarios.
