Target Matching and Identification of Guide Rope in the Track Pulley Groove Under Tophat Transformation

In order to develop a target matching and identification system for the guide rope in the pay off pulley groove, to assist in automatically identifying and confirming the need for the guide rope to enter the pay off pulley groove, an algorithm for moving point target detection from complex background based on Tophat transform is presented in this paper. At first low frequency background suppression is adopted to single frame image by morphologic Tophat filter. In order to strengthen the target points the difference of multiple frames of filtered images is accumulated in sequences. Experiment results show that the method in this paper is promising.
