Analysis of Delay Differential Equations using Signal Processing in Radar System

This paper provides a thorough examination of radar signal processing techniques for target detection, range and velocity estimation, and identification in atmospheric environments, utilizing S-band radar systems. To assess efficacy under varying mist densities, a linear frequency modulated chirp pulse with a center frequency of 3 GHz, 10 µs pulse breadth, and 10 MHz bandwidth is simulated. Round-trip signal delays and time-dependent delay differential equations are taken into consideration. Radar cross-section signature is monitored for the object movement to identify the target’s velocity, distance. This analysis is simulated using MATLAB software. Transmitted and received signal analyses for mist environment, and moving target is considered. The visualization of spectrogram characteristics for doppler shifts and time-frequency characteristics are monitored. Doppler Fast Fourier Transformation is used for velocity estimation and pulse compression matched filtering.
