Simulation of Binary to Grey Code Converter using Compact Modeled Low-Voltage and Flexible Thin Film Transistor

This study outlines the execution of 4-bit Binary to reflected binary code translator circuit designed based on a previously developed model, operating at ultra-low voltage and described using a compact modeling approach, fully transparent, and flexible a IGZO based TFT device. The code converter's response spans an input range from B3 to B0 and an output range from G3 to G0, were verified, exhibiting superior transient response across all scenarios. The compact modeling is used which provides significant advantages for circuit simulation by allowing to perform fast, efficient, and accurate analyses of complex systems and provides a balance between computational efficiency and high accuracy. The compact modeling and circuit simulations were conducted utilizing the Silvaco Techmodeler and Silvaco Gateway software tools. Compact modeling with Silvaco Techmodeler demonstrated high precision, with negligible deviation (under 1%) between the modeled and simulated results.
