Modeling and Analysis of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Stack

This research work provided the modeling and analysis of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell. This research discusses the various aspects of fuel cells. All the necessary equations of the fuel cell development are discussed and modelled using the MATLAB Simulink. In this work, the implementation of a custom MEA block, anode and cathode gas network, composition and flow characteristics characteristics, hydrogen supply and regulation, air delivery and compression, humidifier and membrane hydration cooling system and temperature regulation electrochemical reactions, water transport mechanism were discussed. This paper also presents the maximum power and efficiency performance and maximum load. This research paper provides the complete investigation of fuel cell mechanism.
