Miniaturized Slotted Ground Structure Based Microstrip Patch Antenna Design

The proposed model is a miniature sized microstrip antenna which is optimally configured for wireless communication: 5G and beyond. The substrate opted is Rogers RT- duroid 5880 (lossy) with relative permittivity and permeability of 2.2 and 1 respectively. The size of the engineered antenna is 5.5 x 5.5 x 0.6045 mm³. The outcomes demonstrate bandwidth of 1115 MHz whose center is at 28.196 GHz and a significant gain of 7.38 dBi making it useful in busy urban areas. Due to its high gain, strong performance, the proposed antenna stands out as a potential key component for 5G and beyond.
