Electrical Performance Analysis and System Simulation of Multi-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Fault-Tolerant Control System

In the process of intelligent rendezvous, docking and collaborative operation in the Earth Moon space, highly reliable motors and control systems are crucial, and multi-phase permanent magnet fault-tolerant motors have unique advantages in terms of reliability. In this paper, firstly, a centralized fractional slot winding motor design scheme with spacer winding is explored, and it is proved that the scheme can meet the electromagnetic design requirements through electromagnetic performance simulation. Then, the electrical performance of the motor winding after one-phase open-circuit fault is analyzed, and fault tolerance is realized by changing the current excitation phase of two phase coils; for two-phase winding open-circuit fault, it is divided into four cases according to the different spatial positions of the two windings, and the method of changing the current excitation phase of the healthy-phase winding without changing the amplitude is adopted to give the current excitation method of each case respectively, and the simulation results show that the scheme can effectively reduce the torque pulsation under fault condition. Lastly, by implementing a dual-loop speed control system with current and speed regulators, the effects of torque ripple on motor speed are further mitigated.
