Clutter Modeling and Characteristics Analysis of Spaceborne Bistatic Radar in Various Configurations

Spaceborne bistatic radar has important application value in military and civil fields, but due to its transceiver separation configuration, the clutter shows two-dimensional space-variant characteristics with space-time coupling and distance dependence, and the clutter characteristics produce rapid changes with the bistatic configuration; at the same time, there exists a two-dimensional spatial variation characteristic of resolution. These factors lead to more difficult clutter suppression, which in turn affects target detection. In this paper, the clutter model of spaceborne bistatic radar is accurately established to address the above difficulties, and the clutter characteristics under various configurations are analyzed by, which provides a reference for the analysis of the clutter characteristics of spaceborne bistatic radar and the clutter suppression algorithm.
