Analysis of AEB Test Data of “Children's Ghost Probe Scene” based on C-NCAP2024

“Ghost probe” often leads to vehicle accidents, which is more harmful. Some studies have pointed out that in case of emergency, AEB can avoid vehicle collision or reduce the degree of collision damage by issuing early warning and automatic braking, improve driving safety and reduce traffic accident rate and casualty rate. Firstly, this paper analyzes the composition of AEB system and the functions of each component. After that, 16 vehicles with AEB function were selected for C-NCAP 2024 CPNCO-25 scene test. Through data analysis, the scoring rate of the selected vehicle at different speed conditions is determined; Combined with the components of AEB, the parameters such as AEB trigger time that AEB can work well in different working conditions in this scene are obtained. At the same time, the deceleration characteristics of vehicles under working conditions are analyzed, and the boundary conditions that can ensure AEB to work well are obtained, which plays a great guiding role in the design of AEB system.
